Who's behind fomo?
fomo was co-founded by Paul Erlanger and Se Yong Park, who previously worked at the crypto derivatives exchange dYdX. Instead of a traditional seed round, they raised from around 140 angel investors — including Solana co-founder Raj Gokal, former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan and Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron.
In November 2025 fomo announced a $17 million Series A led by Benchmark, a rare crypto investment for the Silicon Valley firm, bringing total funding to about $19 million. TechCrunch reported that adding Apple Pay sent volume sharply higher, at one point reaching around $3M in daily trading volume.
Key features
Trade (almost) anything, fast
fomo's goal is to be a crypto "super app" with access to every token on every chain. Today you can trade majors like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana alongside millions of smaller tokens and new memecoins, usually in a couple of taps.
Social-first by design
Every user has a readable profile showing their holdings and results. Every token has a timeline showing who on fomo holds it, whether they're up or down and any thesis they've posted. You can follow friends and top traders, get real-time notifications of what they're buying, and compete on leaderboards.
Multichain, gasless, one balance
You hold a single USD balance and fomo handles routing, bridging and gas behind the scenes. That removes most of the friction that makes on-chain trading confusing for newcomers.
Easy funding
Deposit with Apple Pay, a debit card or other supported payment methods, or send crypto from an existing wallet. You can withdraw cash to a bank or send crypto to an external address.
Phone and desktop
Open a trade on your phone and close it on your desktop — it's one account everywhere.
