fomo ties a referral code to your account at the moment it's created. There are two ways to attach get30, and both give exactly the same discount. The invite link is the easiest because there's nothing to type.
Option 1: open the get30 invite link (easiest)
- On the phone or computer you'll sign up with, open fomo.family/r/get30. You'll land on fomo's own page saying "get30 invited you to join fomo".
- Continue to the fomo web app, or tap through to download fomo from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
- Create your account — fomo supports quick sign-up with Apple, Google or email.
- If a referral or invite field appears, check it shows
get30. If it's blank, type it in. - Finish onboarding. The 10% fee discount is now on your account.
Tip: open the link on the same device you'll register on. If you open it on a laptop and then install the app on your phone, the referral may not carry over — in that case use option 2.
Option 2: type get30 in the app
- Download fomo from the App Store or Google Play, or open fomo.family in your browser.
- Start creating a new account.
- When onboarding shows a referral code, invite code or promo code field, enter
get30. Lowercase is safest. - Complete sign-up.
fomo only shows this field during sign-up, so have the code copied before you start. Promo code, referral code and invite code are all the same thing on fomo — there's only one field.
How to check the discount worked
Before you confirm your first trade, look at the fee on the buy screen. With get30 attached it should read 0.45% of the trade instead of the standard 0.50%.
| Test buy | Without a code | With get30 |
|---|---|---|
| $200 | $1.00 | $0.90 |
| $500 | $2.50 | $2.25 |
| $1,000 | $5.00 | $4.50 |
On Solana, orders under about $190 are charged flat minimum fees rather than a percentage, so the difference is easiest to see on a Solana order of $190 or more, or on another chain such as Base. See every fee band.
I already signed up and skipped the code
Referral codes are normally locked in at sign-up and can't be added or swapped later. Your options:
- Ask fomo support. Open the in-app help or support chat, say you meant to use referral code
get30, and ask whether it can be attached to your account. Some users report support has done this; it's at fomo's discretion. - If you used a different code, you already have the same 10% discount — every genuine fomo code gives the same rate, so there's nothing to gain by switching.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Finishing sign-up first and looking for the field later. It's only shown during onboarding.
- Typos. It's
get30— g, e, t, three, zero. Not "get 30" with a space or "GET3O" with a letter O. - Opening the link on one device and signing up on another. Type the code instead.
- Falling for "unlock" scams. No real code asks for your password, seed phrase or a deposit to activate. You only ever open fomo's own website or app.
