The headline rate: 0.50% vs 0.45%
For most trades, fomo takes a flat percentage of the order value on both buys and sells. A referral code reduces that percentage by a tenth.
| Order | Standard (0.50%) | With get30 (0.45%) | You save |
|---|
| $200 | $1.00 | $0.90 | $0.10 |
| $1,000 | $5.00 | $4.50 | $0.50 |
| $5,000 | $25.00 | $22.50 | $2.50 |
| $25,000 | $125.00 | $112.50 | $12.50 |
Because you pay the fee on the way in and on the way out, a full round trip (buy then sell) costs 1.00% without a code and 0.90% with get30.
Solana: small orders use fee bands
On Solana, fomo prices smaller orders in bands rather than charging 0.50% on everything. As published in fomo's help center at the time of writing, the bands look like this:
| Order size (USDC) | Fee | Example |
|---|
| Under 5 | Flat 0.10 | $3 buy → $0.10 |
| 5 to 47.50 | 2% of order | $20 buy → $0.40 |
| 47.50 to 190 | Flat 0.95 | $100 buy → $0.95 |
| 190 and up | 0.50% | $1,000 buy → $5.00 |
The bands meet at their edges (5 × 2% = 0.10, 47.50 × 2% = 0.95, 190 × 0.50% = 0.95), so there's no jump. The practical takeaway: tiny Solana trades are expensive in percentage terms — a $10 buy costs about 2% — and the get30 percentage discount matters most on orders of $190 and above. fomo has changed this schedule before, so treat the buy screen as the final word.
Gas and network costs
fomo is marketed as gasless: you see one total before you confirm, and you don't need to hold a chain's native token to pay for transactions. Some on-chain costs, such as one-time token account rent on Solana, may still be part of a trade's total. Either way, it's shown up front.
Perpetual futures
Where available (perps are not offered to US users), fomo routes perpetual futures through Hyperliquid. Perps carry their own small fomo fee on top of Hyperliquid's exchange fees and funding payments. Funding and exchange fees are outside fomo's platform fee, so the referral discount doesn't apply to them.
Deposits, withdrawals and card fees
- Apple Pay, debit card and bank deposits go through payment partners who may add their own charges.
- Crypto deposits from another wallet only cost the sending network's fee.
- Withdrawals to a bank or an external wallet may carry provider or network fees.
How fomo compares
Centralized exchanges often charge roughly 0.1–0.6% but are slow to list new memecoins. Trading directly on DEXs like Jupiter or Raydium can be cheaper on paper but means managing a wallet, gas, slippage and MEV. fomo's pitch is a single predictable fee in exchange for speed, simplicity and the social layer — and get30 shaves 10% off that fee.
